e^(j*pi) = sinusoidal function of course.... but why!

Hi,I have a math minor, I've taken complex analysis, and I have had theidea that e^(j*pi) produces a sinusoidal function drilled in to myhead for so long, but it has never been explained to me. I accept itas a truth, but I can not find an explanation as to why its true. Youcan't go by blind faith on what people tell you is true in science andmath. So can anyone tell me why e^(j*pi) produces a sinusoidalfunction?Thanks
