Difference between Constant Current Regulator and Constant Source Inverter

Hello,

As obvious from the message window, I need to know the difference between CSI and CCR. By CCR I mean what is used at high capacity for driving airfield lights. If the entire purpose of CCR is to first rectify it, then invert it for three phase at required current capacity then can we say that it is just a Constant Source Inverter implementing a PWM based control.

Thanks in advance, btw if there is a more specific group to which I can direct me querry, please do tell.

Perhaps someone is missreading an accronym. CSI is a commonly used to identify a current source inverter. That is an AC generator.

Avoid accronyms if you want to avoid confusion.
