Frosting leds (make dissused ones)...Quick method?

I everyones...I buy them on Ebay. When i can get some leds that match my optical/electrical requirements, they're often in a clear package. I frost them using high grit sand paper. Any quicker method you know? TIA for any replies.

Perhaps try a solvent that attacks the plastic? Correction fluid thinners perhaps?

Tape up the leads and stick them in a spark plug cleaner (like a mini sand blaster).

Reminds me of a gadget my boss built 50 years ago. Put a tiny paint can on top of a phono motor. Filled with abrasive grit. Just turn in on and poke stuff down in the rotating grit. mike
