How to start Linux with U-boot?

I have U-boot running in my Pi and can use it with commands.

My SD card contains a Linux file, presently renamed to "kernel_old.img" as "kernel.img" is used to start U-boot.

I assume that it is possible to start "kernel_old.img" from U-boot with some command. I can however not figure out how.

Questions:

1: Is it possible to start the Linux kernel according to the procedure described? 2: If so, which is the command?
