Hello:
Any problem in using a GFCI protected outlet for an outlet where a fluorescent light is to be plugged into it ?
Was wondering it would be likely to trip due to the ballast, turn-on characteristics, etc. ?
Thanks, Bob

No, with modern GFCIs, it should be fine. They have some filtering and mostly only respond to any difference between the hot wire current and the neutral wire current.
Not with a reasonably well designed ballast.
