Hello!
Is there a possibility to acces an WinXP/Win2003 computer via an linux thin client?
I have heard about rDesktop, but is it the only way to do it?

how do you want to access it, rdesktop does the RemoteDesktop stuff, theres a GUI frontend out there someplace, plus NX supports X11 and remotedesktop in one package if you want a commercial solution.

client?
Do you just want to look at the desktop ?
AFAIK, VNC has Linux and Windows client and server sites (and is free)

thin client?
VNC can also control the desktop, not just look at it. However, when using Windows, there is just one desktop, and vnc works as though you were logged in locally at the remote machine (it is different if the vnc server is a linux box - then each vnc client can have an X session of their own). If you are looking for a linux client for a windows terminal server, or something similar to that, then I believe rdesktop is what you want (and I think there is also a citrix client for linux). That will let you have several linux thin clients with individual logins and windows desktops.
i want to work on it like with an thin client...
i know... but the "host" has very very low disk space... i mean there are only
5mb free... and these are required for the running software (DRS2006)...-- MMilitsch
