Hello,
I'm working on an embedded linux system. As hardware, I use an old pentium mainboard, a soundcard and a networkcard. Communication over a terminal on COM1.
As disk I use an old IDE hdd (160MB). The system itself is done (kernel and root fs). (Later, I want to use a CF card with a CF-to-IDE converter instead of the hard disc).
But now I have problems to install the kernel. What's the most intelligent technique in my case?
Installing the kernel with lilo or grub on my developing linux system failed (drive drive was connected as /dev/hdd).
Is there a DOC/tutorial or similar that covers installing the kernel?
It would be great if it would work without lilo or similar.
Thanks for your help
Peter
