I have a fleet of 5 taxis. What I am looking for is a stand alone magnetic stripe card reader that I can mount in each taxi. The purpose of each machine would to be to record the account number from the card. Then at the end of the month, I would need to take this information from each taxi and download it to the office computer.
We do this because we have 160 customers who have accounts with us, and only pay at the end of the month. We would rather just give them a card they can swipe easily. Smart card readers are also on the table.
The only card readers I have found are for connecting to a computer, but I need one with local storage inside the reader.
