Help finding a part.

I have a motor controller board that needs some new parts. On of them I can not identify. I am about 99% sure it is a capacitor. It is yellow and rectangular in shape the dimensions are approximately....

7mm x 2.5mm x 6mm

the markings on it start with what I am pretty sure is a 'T' that is just slanted (someones logo I guess). After that in has 47n K 63

Can someone tell me if this is a capacitor or not and what size it is (47nF?) Also I need to know what to search for to find the same size and shape capacitor.

Sounds like a 47nF (0.047uF) 63V film capacitor ('box' type).

Here is a typical type (5mm lead pitch):

You can use dipped or box type of the same or higher voltage rating, any electronics supplier should have these.

Yes it's 47n ! It's 63V and K means 20% tolerance. I'll betcha the pins are on a

5mm pitch too.

It's a standard 'box poly' type.

Except I'll bet that one's polypropylene dielectric (blue).

The associated datasheet says stacked-film PET (polyester) but there is no guarantee it's a photo of the actual part, and they don't mention the color on the datasheet.

It's unlikely to matter much for a motor controller.

Probably not. Here a link to a page at RS Components.

They show it as blue too. It must be Epcos's house colour. It would be handy if there was a colour standard to indicate dielectric.
