That's a change in policy then. I used to get, "Piss off, we don't care about spammers" messages from Google, which is/was the spammer's best friend.

But that is my point. I think that because Google is so big (and annonymous), it is the last refuge of the scoundrels who have been kicked off properly-managed ISPs.
Were your replies from Google anything but machine- generated boilerplate?
I guess I've just never had any positive experiences with those big annonymous providers (Google, Yahoo, all the throw-away email providers, etc.) actually doing the right thing, etc. Easier to just plonk the offenders and move on. My impresion is that the days when ISPs would police their customers are behind us. :-(
