Xilinx for PDP

Dear all, I am new in FPGA field. I am working on designing Logic board for PDP (Plasma display panel). My question is 1. can any one tell me which Xilinx processor is suitable for PDP applicaton?

1. Can any one tell me where I can get basic knowladge about FPGA
