Hello all,

I am looking for a source( website/book) that has some good information
on vhdl coding guidelines for synthesis/efficiency. I "googled" but
didnt find any good info (except for the synplify manual).

Thanks

Try the Xilinx "Synthesis and Simulation Design Guide" at
http://toolbox.xilinx.com/docsan/3_1i/pdf/docs/sim/sim.pdf .

We also sell Sundar Rajan's "Essential VHDL" book which considers these
topics: http://www.xess.com/prod013.php3 .
