logic analyzer using FPGA

Hi. Is there any ready open source (or not so open) logic analyzers based on FPGA + (S|D)RAM? I mean, we need to connect bunch of wires to FPGA, record all samples to RAM and download it somehow to PC. Also, is there any good starting points and/or known pitfalls, e.g. what should I read first? Thanks in advance.
