I just thought I'd ask here while I'm waiting for the webcase registration to go through...
I tried installing ISE 6.1i on Linux (RedHat 7.3) yesterday.
The install failed, because it said there was not enough disk space. What happened was that it seemed to be picking up the percent available instead of the disk space free.
The form showed something like
Available disk space 19% K
I tried fooling it by aliasing df, assuming that it is running df to find the disk space
alias df='/bin/df -P'
but that didn't work. I even tried a ghastly combination of tr and cut to remove spaces and cut out the percent available field! That didn't fool it either.
Has anyone else encountered this?
The only unusual thing about the machine is that we use Xi Graphics DeXTop CDE as the window manager, otherwise it is plain RedHat 7.3, kept bang up-to-date.
The other thing I wondered is if the length of the path is important? We install in
/export/apps/xilinx61i
whereas the default install is /xilinx, so I guess that might be causing the install program to pick the wrong field?
regards
Alan
P.S. As I say, when the webcase registration goes through, I'll report it to Xilinx support as well.
