EDK - XPS 8.1i segmentation

Hi,

I installed XPS - EDK 8.1i in my WinXP machine. When I try to call XPS the DPS window appears, and dissapears within a few seconds and nothing else happens. Reviewing the C:\EDK folder, a file bash.exe.stackdump appears, which contents are:

Exception: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION at eip=00000000 eax=00000000 ebx=0247ED28 ecx=0247EB64 edx=7C91EB94 esi=0247ED2C edi=00000000 ebp=0247ED30 esp=0247ED08 program=C:\EDK\cygwin\bin\bash.exe, pid 1680, thread main cs=001B ds=0023 es=0023 fs=003B gs=0000 ss=0023 Stack trace: Frame Function Args End of stack trace

How could I fix this?

Regards.

Did you also installed ISE 8.1?! ISE and EDK must have the same version numbers.

Hi Frank,

Yes, they are the same version. Seems like something else messed the system up. Not even deinstalling and reisntalling fixed the issue. Only re-formatting the HDD and starting it all from scratch could fix it.

Now it works flawless, as it used to.

Kindest regards,
