This special issue will cover all aspects related to research contributions as well as review articles that address recent developments in the hardware implementation of machine vision systems using FPGAS/GPUS/ASICs/MultiCores. Original papers describing completed and unpublished work not currently und er review by any other journal, magazine, or conference are solicited.Specific topics include but are not limited to, the following:
