Can anyone lead me to a tutorial to write a simple Makefile for

In CodeWarrior you can generate a GNU makefile from the Project menu (or at least some of the menus). However, this makefile is pretty big and not so easy to follow.
The hard part is not to write the makefile itself, but figure out all the locations of the libraries, headerfiles, the options to gcc and ld etc.
