PROCMD Microchip

I uses to use PROCMD.EXE to incircuit program my Microchip OTP's under DOS as a 16bit version. To support new flash devices I had unfortunately to upgrade to the new 32bit Windows version. But even with new Computers this new command line tool is by far to slow. I takes me over 4 seconds to initiate a program command (without downloading). prior this update the program process started immediately. did someone else recognize this problem? and is there solution to speed up the whole thing?

thanks for any advice

I have used to EPIC programmer from microEngineering Labs,

formatting link
for programming a variety of PICs. It comes with a Windows GUI interface, DOS TUI interface, and a command line version. I recall that the command line version version has a code size limit that doesn't let it work with the largest chips (I don't know why). I use the command line version. It is simple and fast. You put all the need options on the command line for erasing, programming, verification, and exit.
