Does someone know if there is a way to install a linux-based operating system on the following board?

SBC PowerQuicc II 8260 Wind River Board (with an MPC 8260 processor)

Start with U-boot (http://*u-boot*.sourceforge.net/) and ELDK

U-boot supports already this board (sbc8260), so running a 2.4 or 2.6 should not be a big problem.
