PIC copier

Can someone point me to a PIC-to-PIC copier that will do 16F628-20P's?

Either a proven commercial product or, better yet, a circuit I can build.

This is for code I have purchased and I do not need to remove protection.

I don't have a programmer board, and would prefer not to.

Thanks,

Mark

A programmer would probably be simpler and easier to build then a standalone copier.

Why not just try this:

?

cheers.

Al,

Thanks for the plug.

The catch 22 of a standalone copier is that it would most likely have to have a programmed chip in it. So you'd have to build a programmer anyway.

The THVP listed above on a short cable can be built in a 1/2 hour and with appropriate software (icprog for example) can easily perform your copy.

BTW on the legal front, did you purchase the code, or a chip with the code in it? There may be different copying requirements for the two. BAJ
