Newbie: I want to build a AVR starter kit w/ Programmer. Any suggestions?

Hello, I am a programmer by trade, and would like to get into embedded stuff, specifically using Atmel ATMega's. I am currently unemployed, so I have the time to build it myself, so does anyone have any plans for something with like blinking lights. I would also like to build a programmer and would like to use a C compiler like ICCAVR. So if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks, Brian

It's still cost money, but we sell a M32 Kit w/ LEDs, LCD, buzzer, buttons, and a 4K limited ICCAVR for only $109. Check out our website for details.
