Mode Switching for MIPS

Hi all, Does anyone know of the instruction to switch modes/generate an interrupt on a MIPS target. This is for GNU tools. Eg swi for ARM processors. Thanks, Mary

The mnemonics are "syscall" (and "break" for software breakpoints).
