Help required please!!!

Hi everyone, A big hello from my side. I'm new to embedded systems. But as i'm very interested to work in embedded systems, I have decided to do a project in 8051 Microcontroller using Keil C compiler. Can anyone please help me in suggesting me a simple yet impressive project which i could do with the above mentioned software and hardware.

Thanks,

Start with the numerous examples that come with the compiler.

Embedded applications generally control hardware, so what are you interested in controlling?

This will get you nowhere, and is completely incomprehensible. See my sig and the link below.
