Ezlite board Qn

Im thinking of buying the Analog Devices 2181 Ezlite DSP Development Board

The board has an EPROM

1) so every time i have to load a new program do i have to use a UltraViolet Eraser to reset the EPROM OR Can i simply keep using any onchip memory to repeatedly try different programs.? When is the EPROM used?

It has a monitor, which lets you load the program into the DSP SRAM for porogram execution. However, as soon as you unplug the power cord, the program gets "erased".

It stores the monitor, You can, however, burn the EPROM to boot your own programs into the DSP. This is useful as a non-volatile bootup storage media.
