Nice pictures, but a completely useless program.

It is just like a capacitor calculating program without specifying the desired maximum rated voltage.

You NEED to ask for the current (specified divided into DC and AC part with frequency of AC), and applied voltage swing and calculate the losses of each of the cores and the losses due to resistance and skin effect in the wire, and calculate the temperature rise because of the losses and compare the temperature rise against the maximum core temp, then select the optimum core (optimum by size or cost or resistance or Q).

Then check the fill factor and determine if the wire fits in the core.

And hey: Is it really to much work to include the parameters of the different cores in the program ? (Material, Diameter, Color, Q, ...). You only display the frequency range.

I already paid for it by receiving an annoying SystemSoap advertising popup.

The only one that /might/ pay for such a piece of software is Amidon iself, but then the software must fulfill certain quality requirements (and not being Megabytes of Basic Junk for two multiplications).

We are not in the times anymore, where such a simple program can be sold as a valuable masterpiece. If you really compare the algoriths complexity of a commercial program (like Microsoft Excel, or Tomb Raider) with that calculation program, you can simple deduct that it might not cost a single cent.

That's fact. That's live. Sorry Bob (= User defined).
