"Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is a new mobile high-speed data technology. It is envisaged that services based upon LTE technology will come online in Ireland in early

2013 and that such services will operate in the radio spectrum from 790 MHz to 862 MHz ("800 MHz Band?). The 800 MHz band is currently used for transmission of analogue television signals but will no longer be used for that purpose following "Analogue SwitchOff?, which is set to occur on 24 October 2012"
