Mht. anskaffelse så kig her:

The receiver operation is controlled by a Microchip PIC16C73 uP [Nogen burde ændre kode og diagram så 16F628 kunne anvendes i stedet] (Source code available here). The PIC controls the LCD display, PLL and all the user interface including the rotary encoder used for tuning..."

"... By combining special purpose (co-processor) Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) and the proven DSP56300 general-purpose 24-bit Onyx DSP core with an Radio Frequency (RF) front-end and IF analog interface, the company has harnessed 1500 MIPs ... Citat: "... Of the 1,500 Mips available on the 24-bit Symphony DSP, Motorola's engineers allocated 150 Mips for general audio processing and divided the remaining 1,350 Mips into nine independent cores, minimizing delays by allowing them to run different software in parallel, explained Hansen. ... But the price of the chip set, which is sampling now at $29.95, could be an issue. "Just making the technology inexpensive enough for mainstream radios" could be a challenge, observed Abraham. ..."
