So somebody in Jim family owns a gun. Right wing nitwits are supposed to own their own guns - that way, if they happen to experience a suicidal though, they can blow their brains out before they've had time to have second - less suicidal - thoughts.

I'm disappointed. I'm going to have to rely on Jim eating or drinking himself to death.

What's with the handle on the barrel? Looks superfluous.

Well. The barrel does get hot.

I've not seen it first-hand. I think it's finned for heat dissipation..

Sorry, I'm not gun literate :-( The son is. He promises to arm and train me shortly. (I was a good shot as a kid, but haven't had any practice since.) ...Jim Thompson

No one is perfect. :)

I just flag all messages from that server, and see KILLFILE at the start of the subject line. I drop them on most newsgroups, but there are a few here that I do want to see. I've used all 100 entries in Newsproxy, and need to recompile it for 1000 entries because of the 'Skippys' with multiple troll nyms. it would be simpler if Giganews gave full headers, without downloading the messages. I've looked at some software for a local news server but I haven't felt up to setting one up. I have five spare server grade computers, at the moment so the hardware is no problem. :)

I'm not so sure about that. I do own (and use) a couple of field- hockey sticks, and they would trump a cap- or water-pistol.

A hockey stick isn't much use indoors, but it's heavy enough to break a jaw or a forearm on a full swing.
