Not only do we have world-class electronic designers here, we also have philosophers, musicians, political pundits, humorists, teachers, students, rednecks, assholes and, lately, an infusion of kooks and fags [America, Fuck Yeah!] telling us that we're doing everything wrong.
Methinks that to be garnering that much attention must mean that we're doing _something_ right. :-)
Otherwise, one would expect that the complainants would slink back into their own dreary little worlds where they can wank themselves off into oblivion.
Nobody in their right minds thinks that the U.S. doesn't do a lot of things right, but then again, nobody in their right minds would think that the U.S. (or any other country) does everything right.
The curious thing about many of the U.S. citizens on this user group is that they appear to think that critical comment about any aspect of U.S. society is vociferous anti--Americanism, which they proceed to describe as a claim that the U.S. does everything wrong.
Some of the people who make these absurd claims are perfectly rational about other subjects and can engage in quite intelligent discussion in their area interest. John Fields isn't one of them, of course, but a smart engineer like Jim Thompson can rival Jon Fields for stupidity and ignorance when it comes to political questions.
Well, yeah, but you can also look up any circuit or data sheet you want to on google (or lycos, or yahoo, or metacrawler, or whatever), but it's Sooooo BOrrrrrr-iiiiiinnnnng! ;-)
Yes, you are most welcome to having your wallet emptied. ;-)
soc.men is becomming the masculinist voice of the world. Soon, soc.men will grow so big we'll have "guest posters" of the week such as Warren Farrell PHD, leading masculinist voices from around the globes and best of all, free speech.
The days of the cunt of feminism are being kicked in!
from the 3rd of April we see you start off using message ID links in your lame sig which will only work reliably for someone using the same newsreader on the same machine the links were made on."
"No, you had to change them [article ids] because they didn't link to anything on anyones machine but yours. Unless of course someone has exactly the same newsreader and reads exactly the same stuff as you."
"Please explain to me how YOU use message IDs to verify a quote?"
Society scolds tarquil_fortesque_smythe_the3rd for his usage of TinyUrl:
"The source of this report is NOT "tinyurl.com" and when they go out of business, all their links will be gone. Please supply original sources and the names of the publication and author(s) whose work you are reproducing -- not everyone has a news reader that can follow a URL given in a Usenet news post."

You're an idiot. Are you really so f****ng backward that you have never watched the history channel, or Discovery times, or the National Geographic channel, or the military channel?
If so, you are even more sad than I thought. Your grandkids will grow up to be meth heads.

Oh, my, the Sloman rouses from its torpor with heartburn and
proceeds to spew bile after obviously missing the reference to the
"Film Actors Guild" from "Team America World Police."
Here, asshole, try to put a little fun in your life:

You are talking about me!! I read SED, but have no tv. My theory is that the more technically advanced a medium, the less interesting the is content. I am sure about this. TV is made for idiots by people who may not be idiots themselves, but regard their audience as being idiots. On the contrary, some of the writers in this newsgroup do not consider their readers as being idiots. Therefore SED is worth reading.

Not true. Some old data sheets which aren\'t available any more have
been posted by people who had them, and you can\'t get free, custom
designs by looking them up if they don\'t exist.
Here, (sed) we make that happen.
