Yes-- if the output sticks 'on' the coil fries (maybe- with almost 6x normal dissipation) and the relay drops out.

2 TL431s, 7 resistors, a zener AND a fet. You could build a bit of very basic testgear with that lot.

All totaling about 5% of the wholesale price of a single relay, I'd reckon.

Must be from the Republican school of "deficit-reduction." With what we've cut on social programs so far we should be able to cover at least

37 minutes of the DoD's operating costs!
