Spam from aspen-electronics.com

I recently received spam from this company to a unique email address to create an account on new-expo.co.uk so I could enter National Electronics Week.

I'm usually very good at ticking boxes to make sure I don't get third party spam but of course the box may have been hiding!

Has anyone else received spam like this after registering at new-expo.co.uk?

On recent versions of Chrome it pops up a warning that none of the pages associated with that site are using a secure connection, btw

Were they trying to sell EMF measuring services in a rather aggressive way ?

I recently had such an approach from them - odd - because they used to be a decent company AFAIK.

If a company can't be arsed to establish a secure connection to my browser I sure as heck am not entering any information into their site fields, not even an email address. Gosh!

Its a shame. I dislike unsolicited communications and when cold called I often say my policy is not to buy services etc from cold callers.
