Nevertheless, it flew and Hawaii's not such a bad place for a layover. And the Swiss are looking at their limited natural resources and doing something about it. May be that the technology developed goes into homes that need almost no external energy input.

Plus the Swiss have bigger fish to fry - college tuition is reaching a nearly unmanageable CHF 3000/year at some schools and unemployment is near 2% - frightening. They're working very hard to fix that and if they have to build silly expensive airplanes to create jobs, they'll likely take that option.
