Political Correct brainwashing burned me

Some son of a bitch stole my bike this morning. I rode over to Winn Dixie, I passed this guy before the first door holding a cart. I felt suspicious right away, I drove to the far end and parked my bike. I walked back to the other door just to check on the guy and he was walking in, as I passed him. I though I can't just turn around and follow him, just because he's black doesn't mean he is going to steal my bike. If he was white, I would have. I've been brainwashed. I quickly grabbed some saltines and went to the self checkout, dropped my crackers on it and walked out to check my bike, it was gone and no site of him. The surveillance camera showed him walk in one door and out the other where my bike was. Camera's don't cover where he stole my bike. Keep your eye out, he's a Religious guy, big gold cross on a gold chain around his neck. The son of a bitch! Mikek

Welcome to concentrated populations >:-}

I was just musing this morning...

About 4-1/2 years ago we (semi)retired from a "high class" area of Phoenix (Ahwatukee) to the boondocks, San Tan Valley, about 40 miles southeast.

Of note...

(1) Almost as big a house as we sold, for 1/3 the price for which we sold the old one. All new "stuff"... no $15K air-conditioning system or $25K roof needing replacement ;-)

No crime... everyone in the neighborhood is armed. Most are tradesmen, a few of us retired.

(2) On Halloween, NO vandalism. Probably a 99% rate of saying, "Thank you", even from the 2-year-old toddlers!

(3) This morning we decided to grab breakfast at Village Inn. Uniformly-behaved, well-dressed, clean children. One young man, I'd guess about 10 years-old, jumped up and held the door open for us!

(4) We stopped at the grocery. My wife is perusing the onions. VERY polite young lady engages my wife in conversation, "Which onion-type should I use for pot roast?"

Damn! I love middle America! The pleasantry almost drives me to tears. The rest of the nation has gone to hell. ...Jim Thompson

Sounds like you are living somewhere in Canada...I thought you were south of the border?

Oh, wait, no one is armed here. Other than that pretty much the same.

Oh, right, house prices, damn. You got us beat there. Average fixer upper is running around $1,000,000 CAD (roughly $750,000USD) in Vancouver. That is annoying.

151 miles to Nogales, Sonora, by road... probably 100 miles "as the crow flies".

Commonplace here, rifle rack in rear window of pick-em-up truck.

This house, NEW, 2524 sq.ft., single level, on slightly less than 1/4 acre {with a phenomenal amount of extras my wife wanted in the kitchen

Around here, US$1Meg will buy you a NEW mansion. ...Jim Thompson

It's what you learn, after you know it all, that counts.

So what you're saying is even though you felt suspicious you went ahead and parked your bike there unlocked and went about your business anyway?

Sounds like you burned yourself, silly

walked out to check my bike, it was gone and no site of him.

Yes, you ought to be able to park a bike without it being stolen. But you can not do that everywhere.

Suggestions for the future. Get your next bike from the Salvation Army or Goodwill. A cheap bike is less likely to be stolen. Would not hurt if you sprayed it with a little orange or purple paint. Not guaranteed to never be stolen, but it won't bother you as much if it did not cost you a lot.

And remember a really good bike is easier to pedal, so conversely it does n ot provide as much excercize.

Now you know the area covered by surveilence cameras. Park there.

And say " hi " to anyone you think might steal your bike. May make no diff erence, but at least the person will know you looked at him and did not loo k down at him.

It's like that around here. We had a block party and shared food [1] [2], and chipped in for a bouncy house for the kids. Halloween was fun, lots of kids and spider webs and fake ghosts. We do talk to strangers and checkout people about vegetables. Zero vandalism to my house since we bought it in 1993. Two blocks away is a canyon with a creek and coyotes.

It is nice to have a new-built house that has 15 amps in every outlet, and is all up to code, and everything works.

[1] I made a gigantic pot of red beans. These Californians had never heard of red beans and rice! [2] Turns out one of my neighbors works for Broadcom (aka Avago) and works with the enhancement-mode phemts that we love so much. He has a 1-yo daughter with incredible blue eyes... she's going to break some hearts one day.

Another neighbor installed a spiral staircase in his back yard, up the side of a cliff to a flat spot one level above. They are farming it.

Bike thieves don't really care too much about cameras, they know the police have better things to do with their time. If it's a really nice ride the pros in the city will sometimes happily grind through a lock in broad daylight with dozens of people around.

I found the same, moving South from the Northeast (and Midwest, lately). Great place to live.

Yes, Canada is much worse.

When everyone in the country has to live within 10 miles of the border, real estate gets expensive.

A lefty blaming the victim. That's about right.

Don't you worry, I'm sure they've got the entire local PD working this case right now to bring the monster to justice. The dastardly perpetrator of this horrific crime must not go unpunished

Your nonsensical reply isn't surprising. Nonsense from a lefty is always expected.

Yes, and black people don't commit crimes anyway - someone said so on TV.

I wouldn't bet on that. A school friend presumed that four decades ago, only to be proven wrong.

The cops said such stolen bikes were shipped to Africa.

Lefties know all about victims, they are expert at creating them.

Having a bicycle stolen might be a pretty devastating experience for a

5th grader, but I guess I was under the impression I was talking with men, here. Sorry, my mistake.

lol is that really what the police told him

A bike stolen is devastating? No, but lefty policies certainly are. Look at any inner city.
