Who would bother paying any attention to anything posted by Julian Barnes?
He's a gullible idiot with a fixation on Donald Trump, who hasn't noticed that YouTube lets you edit stuff before you post it, making it's documentary value exactly zero.

Who is supposed to have given up on bearing children?
Moderns generally fewer children than previous generations, but seem to end up with as many adult children as they did - reduced infant mortality has reduced the amount of child-bearing required to propagate your genes.
Most leftist do have doubts about organised religion, but Jesus of Nazareth is usually seen as an excellent moral philosopher, if one that has attracted an unfortunate theocratic following.
