OT: Rotate MP4

I took an MP4 video with my Olympus camera oriented in the portrait orientation, but it plays back on my PC as landscape, so you have to tilt your head :-(

Is there a software to rotate such a recording? ...Jim Thompson

Thanks, Lasse! I didn't appreciate what features VLC included... I've used it as just a player for some time. ...Jim Thompson

MP4 is QuickTime File Format (MooV), and that has a display transformation matrix. An ancient copy of QT Pro should be able to perform a lossless rotate.

I don't know about anything more modern. QuickTime File Format is unpleasant at best. (JPEG 2000 uses it too).

Maybe the camera would allow some kind of post shot editing.

Olympus has some interesting features. I have a few myself.

You could probably have also booted up an "Ubuntu Studio Live DVD", and use KDENlive video editor on it.

Free and it's Linux!
