OT: Printer driver/disk for Panasonic kx-p1093 ...

..almost every place and their pet goldfish wants to shove their "DriverUpdater" malware down your throat; as a side issue they all ASSume Win7 and/or Win10.

There was one place (presumably IBM) that had specific drivers for Win3.1 up to Win7 (the IBM 5152 which is supposed to be compatible) each OS nicely listed, but ALL of the links were bad. The Epsom LX-1050 is also supposed to be compatible. And the IBM Proprinter is supposed to be compatible.

Oh, yes, there is the hokey "driver" by NewDeal which sounds like a can of worms..no thanks.

Zero luck on any of them.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: salty - I am getting sick and tired of finding 5-20 references that ALL have the following extremely offensive attributes: a) "Download NOW" for things NOT ASKED FOR (and undesirable). b) "Downloaders" that "scan" your computer "to update" every program and driver. Most sane people KNOW that is total BULLSH*T and a _plain_ download of the requested file/software (a few KB) is all that is needed - not

22MEGABYTES of cr*p (and i am not exaggerating on the size as some are a lot larger).

If anything, Linux has FEWER drivers and even then, cannot get a WinBox to dew de printz even it Rapunzel (gasp) took off her veil.

It's an "24 pin" epsom compatible dot matrix printer, only the Epsomlx driver and the apropriate .PPD is needed.

driver should come with your OS ppd should be on the drivers disk for that printer.

The driver for that printer comes stock with foomatic. install 'generic postscipt" printer driver on wibox and point it at the CUPS endpoint.

I discovered that there is NO DRIVER; this is a DOS printer. So, after verifying that with PCDOS, i am now using the "generic / text only" for any version of windows (Win2K, WinXP, Win7).
