My experience watching my elderly father take a vision test at the VA says otherwise. Taxed and spent: ophthalmology expert
If a legally blind person really cared about improving their life they'd invent a pair of robot eyes. I guess otherwise they'll have to suffer for their lack of vision, get it, "lack of vision"
Obviously you are not well versed in eye problems. I am not here to put you down, but I will educate you.
Not sll eye problem can be sorted out by glasses. Personally I need two aqueectmies or something like that. This is where the y take the ffluid out of yoour eye and pressueize it with freon and take an d filter it becuase it is so polluted with random hemmorageges from thre re tina and so forth that the light has trouble getting through. My codition i s bad enough that not only do I have no desire to drive a car, I don't even want to ride a bicycle. I see things floating that are not there, and then , sometimes I discrd those sightings so really I coud iss a person in the r oad and runb them over. TYou rreally want me driving around ?
The procedure costs about $200,000 to fix me up, and the fact is that nobod y owes me that much money. And this is a complex operation, it is not like setting a broken bone. A very high degree of skill is involved here, and pe rsonally I would not even want to try it. It is too easy to leave the perso n totally bling rather than having the limited vision they had.
Another thing you seem to be ignorant to is with age the retina itsrlf dege nerates. MyMother is going through that. she does not have as polluted humo r as I do but her retina is going bad and that, in the end, is what is pick ing up the image. We are figuring she will be blind in about five years but we want her to keep her license so she still has her car. We'll drive her around.
But simply being out of focus is not the end of eye problems. My family doe s not have good eyes, we have problems when it is too dark and we have prob lems when it is too bright. No glasses can fix that.
Robert! Would you stop posting your crap. YOU have a system problem. Fix it! ...Jim Thompson
