Cursitor Doom is rather more of a society wrecker than I am - not that eith er of us has the clout to do much damage - but Cursitor Doom is silly enoug h to think that the USSR went down the tubes because it was socialist - whi ch it never was, though it did like to claim to be socialist - when what ac tually screwed the place, and is now making a mess of the USA, is that it w as run by a small greedy minority for the benefit of that greedy minority.

Putin's crew don't bother claiming to be socialist any more, but they are s crewing up their country quite as thoroughly as they did when they called t hemselves communists.

Being blind that particular point can let you fall into all kinds of potent ially damaging errors - Brexit does come to mind.

Under the current model of democracy in the West almost always results in a small greedy minority making the most of their position to further their own interests. Conservative/Labour/Liberal/Green/Dem/Rep/Commie/ Facist - they're all the same in this respect. Especially after they've been in power for while against a weak opposition. Unlike you, however, I acknowledge the problem exists right across the political spectrum.

That's nonsense. If there's anything screwing up Russia it's Western sanctions imposed simply because Putin refused to sell out to the Globalists.

You're not going to forgive the British for having the audacity to stick two fingers up to the Globalists. But quite what your interest 12,000 miles away is in this, remains a mystery.

The problem certainly exists right across the political spectrum, but the left wing parties do tend to be more on their guard against it.

In Germany they do spend a lot on educating everybody - and while a well educated work-force does let employers make more money it does seem to be leaving Germany with a respectable Gini index of 0.27.

The USA is at 0.45, worse than Russia at 0.42, and not much better than China at 0.47.

Is that what the Daily Express is telling you? Russia is in a mess in a whole lot of different ways. Male life expectancy there is about 70 years compared with 80 in most advanced industrial countries. Blame that on Western sanctions.

I worked in the UK for 22 years, and saw how little reason the globalists would have had to pay attention to British industry then. I didn't leave until 1993, when Margaret Thatcher had finished making it even less interesting.

The head in the sand mentality that was all too frequently evident then has come out of the closet with Brexit, and looks just as stupid now as it always did, but may have found a way to be even more damaging.

The British were always complacently self-satisfied, but managed to become progressively more self-satisfied while there was progressively less for them to be self-satisfied about. A depressing paradox.

There is that tendency in The Establishment, of course - particularly those that have "the right breeding" or some of the ignorant-but-lucky nouveau riche. But that phenomenon is scarcely limited to the UK.
