The left has been unhappy with Henry Kissinger for quite a while now.
Tom Lehrer credits his retirement as a satirist to Kissinger getting the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1973.
At some point most satirists get to realise that their capacity for inventing absurdities is surpassed by that of the real world, and Kissinger's Nobel Peace Prize marked that point for Tom Lehrer.

Relax, guys. It's not communism. The kids these days probably buy ten times as much useless crap as you did at their age I don't think there's any danger of them stopping anytime soon (probably to the Earth's much greater detriment compared with 50 years ago.)
