Amazing. And all their programmers are university graduates I've heard.

This old fart's first thought was "Why the h__l would a tune player care about - much less *know* - the frickin' date?! Ah.... this Zune thing is one of those micro, electronic toys. It's all clear to me now. (I'd never heard of Zune before.)

Jeez! Does my pocket knife know or care about the phase of the moon? No. Not in its job description. Do any of my CD players know or care about the date? No. There's absolutely no need. Nor does my vintage GE AM-band table radio (tubes!) know or care about the date because its job is simply to receive, demodulate, and amplify. Period

Phones and players that know the time and date and are influenced by either or both... snort!! This convinces me that otherwise-reasonable people will definitely pay good money for networked refrigerator, oven, clothes washer & dryer just as soon as these silly ideas hit the market. Mind your own business, Bluetooth.
