It's Illinois. What did you expect?

But some respect for citizen's lives.

ZeroHedge worries about the resident's capacity "to defend their homes and families from criminals" rather neglecting the fact that the residents are rather more at risk from those of their neighbours who happen to turn crimi nal while in possession of an assault rifle.

I heard about that, what they need is an injunction from a federal court an d FAST. But I am not in Illinois so they have to deal with the consequences . Thing about government, if they take something, no matter what law or cou rt ruling you can't count on getting it back.

Another thing is only the licensed ones will comply. And might sticky up th e wicket so to speak because some of those licenses are federal.

But the people who bought them with no paper will still have them.

If a gun grabber ever uses the argument "Well people go to surrounding citi es and buy guns to use in Chicago" ask them "Well then how come there are n ot more shootings in those surrounding cities ?".

What about MY life when a 6'7" bodybuilder with a blackbelt kicks in my back door ?

You're expected - by these Lefties - to take it up the arse, mate.

I can never tell when people are being serious and when they are joking when it comes to gun control. This sounds like something from Jim Jefferies diatribe on gun control. He did a great job of weaving it into a thing on Oscar Pistorius.

I'm not sure if you are serious or if you are doing stand up too.

Do you worry about African rhinos coming through your front door? How about poisoners? What if they have a blow dart?

You have a rich fantasy life. It's a whole lot less likely than you picking up one of your guns and shooting yourself.

After all, why would he choose to kick down your door? It's not as if you run a meth lab and have loads of product for him to hijack. Of course, he might want to steal your guns ...

Cursitor Doom's fantasy life on show. Why would a 6'7" black body builder be interested in Jurb's arse - or Cursitor Doom's for that matter.

Such people tend to be in a good position to negotiate consensual relationships, unlike Cursitor Doom.

Because I got sick and lost much of my strength I must be vulnerable to tho se who have been incarcerated and had nothing better to do than to work out and get tougher ?

Because my Mother is 76 and weighs all of about 110 lbs. she should be vuln erable ?

Because someone, anyone, loses part of their physical ability, i.e. becomes handicapped, they should be vulnerable ?

What they're advocating here is the law of the jungle. Might makes right. T he physically strong win and the physically weak lose, are eaten or dominat ed.

Certainly looks like it.

And I'll still bet that if given the chance to use "enhanced interrogation techniques" on gun grabbers it would be found that they fully intend to kee p and bear arms while all others are disarmed.

How about disfingered ? I heard, might be rumor, that the sticking up of th e middle finger came from a time when they fought with bows and arrows and the victors would cut the first two fingers off the hands of the vanquished so they could not use the bow as effectively, which would put them at a di sadvantage.

So why not take the guns away from people who disagree with you ? From your enemies in whatever arena ?

Is that brave ? They call gun rights activists cowards, perhaps they're loo king in a mirror.

Look at the rest of the advanced industrial world. People don't get mistreated any more often than they do in the US even though there are many fewer guns around.

They do. It's a lot riskier when having an unlicensed gun is grounds for prosecution, so they don't do it often. Good gun control doesn't eliminate gun crime - it just makes it a lot less common,

The US gun murder rate is 3.5 per 100,000 per year. Australia's is 0.2 per 100,000 per year which is in the same ball-park as all the other advanced industrial countries.

'fraid so.

Yup, so say the Slomanites.

Yup (see above)

At some point in the near future they plan to come up with some excuse to stop the police from acting against those who perpetrate property crime, so then you'll see the *true* free for all.

Not just with guns. There will be just two classes: the "elite" (in their own minds) and the great unwashed. The great unwashed will be eating insect-derived foods, convinced they're doing the planet a great service, whilst the "elite" will be gorging themselves on the finest cuts of steak and whatever else their gormet chefs can conjure up for their delectation, whilst still contemptuously abusing the GU as "useless eaters."

Agincourt I believe, but not sure if it's true or not.

Could you possibly quote the source you're responding to? Often I get to the end of some voluminous and nonsensical paragraph only to find it was authored by Sloman and I've wasted my time again. If you quote his name at the top of your response I can just cut straight to the next message. TIA.

I've been forced to plonk jurb6006 because he persists in engaging with this newsgroup's worst troll and re-posting the crap from said troll. I hope by 6 months from now when the filter expires he will have realised the futility of trying to debate with this fool and we can hopefully get back to normal.

I tried, I really tried. But it is just so, so, I don't know how to describ e it. It's like honking your horn at some asshole who just sat through an e ntire green light. It's like, like like hearing an ultrasickening liberal t alk. It's like, ummm, watching a kid eat the lead based paint chips off the wall.

Know what I mean ?

ibe it. It's like honking your horn at some asshole who just sat through an entire green light. It's like, like like hearing an ultrasickening liberal talk. It's like, ummm, watching a kid eat the lead based paint chips off t he wall.

Not really. But then I can comprehend most of what I read, even if I don't like it, and think that the author is off his head.

Jurb seesm to find that lot of what he reads goes over his head, which make him feel inferior (which he doesn't like) so he blames the author for his own inadequacy.

It's the kind of reaction that gets in the way of getting better-informed.
