My expectations are that I've beat it... strictly thru an unusual stroke of "luck"...

Back in March I was abruptly in hospital with a blocked bile duct... very jaundiced.

Turns out the blocked bile duct was due to the tumor on the pancreas "neck" pressing against the bile duct... which they discovered when they went endoscopically down my throat to stent the bile duct.

"Normally" Pancreatic cancer is the "silent killer" since there's no symptoms.

I "lucked out" by having a secondary symptom whose solution exposed that the tumor was there.

If I didn't have nasty indigestion from the chemo I'd feel quite good... that should go away now over the next few days.

Of course this sort of thing has turned out to have a side benefit... I'm now down to 150# ;-) ...Jim Thompson

A guy I knew from grade school started to feel sick on his honeymoon. When he got home he found out he had it in his pancreas. He died a few weeks later. He was 26. His widow was killed in Colin Ferguson's shooting spree on the Long Island Railroad a year later.

Don't you go anywhere.
