Hi
At our house the terrasse is elevated, so sometimes high wind makes it unco mfortable
The terrasse is build up of 12 cm boards with about 2 cm spacing, with a he ight of 110 cm.
To combat the wind, we will mount a windbreaker of about 30cm on top of the railing. The terrasse is thus equivalent to a box
But, we could also let the windbreaker go all the way from the floor of the terrasse to the top, total 140cm
I have heard somewhere that a fence or railing with slots like the one show n here does really not create much wind on the inside of the terrasse as op posed to close the slots in the railing, since a non-slottet railing could create turbulence around the railing, thus creating airflow down into the t errass/box
So in essence, my question is:
Anyone know of the air flow after a slottet wall versus a non-slottet wall (we would like minimum flow of course)
Thanks
Klaus
