Navy Railgun Is Kaput

Actually perhaps not. The round piercing the side of a tank does it by melting its way in spewing all that molten metal and shrapnel which ricochets inside. A round like that hitting the body of an airplane won't do nearly as much damage unless it impacts a critical system. I'm not sure they can even target something like an airplane. If they have a warning system it should be easy to dodge a ballistic projectile. But then someone said it isn't ballistic.

Indeed.

And no, the Chinese don't have the same payoffs: their corrupt practices are different.

CHOP THAT TRUNK CABLE leading into the nation!

Who the f*ck gave the bastards more than a single POTS phone line in and out anyway?

Who gave those communist nations high speed data links too?

It is like we went around the world and handed all of our enemies a nice sword to come up behind us and stab us with.

Horseshit. They can eat cake. They are about as friendly as a freshly laid turd.

Who gave the bastard a bunch of 4K cameras too? Unbelievable!

Burning people at the stake is a very "effective" method of execution, too!

Like what happened with the Bismarck. Put out of action by an obsolete bi- plane!

To be fair, didn't that biplane drop a torpedo? Speaking of which, these mo dern hypersonic torpedoes traveling at 200 knots are something else that wi ll destroy a carrier. Their main drawback is they don't have much range, bu t, if the attacker is suicidal, that won't make any difference.

yes it was hit with a torpedo, by luck it was while it was turning so the r udder got stuck and it could only go in circles

the biplanes could fly slow which was good for dropping torpedoes.

Didn't Germany consider something like that in WW2 ?

They built and used a couple. Despite that, they didn't win WW2.
