MPX-16H multiplexer DAQ

Announcing one of my recent projects, that may be helpful to some, interesting to others. Detailed info in a dropbox folder: MPX-16H multiplexer DAQ

formatting link

From the manual's opening paragraph: "The MPX-16H is a fully-loaded DAQ (data-acquisition system) card, designed for use with Arduino controller boards, with many unusual and interesting features. It uses a convenient 40-wire mass-termination ribbon cable for

volts (we call 3.3- and 5.0-volts low voltages), and includes differential signal conditioning plus onboard

programmable DAC, plus multiple types of power outputs on the ribbon cable." The draft manual has 19 pages of writeup with pictures, drawings, and schematics.

The two Schematic and parts-location files are Acrobat searchable. I have free unpopulated bare boards, for anyone who'd like to experiment with one. An associate, Alan Stern has written some software test code. There's a 14-page draft version of an assembly options document. I'm editing a B.O.M. now, with full part-number details. Reminder: I'm offering free PCB boards. :-)

This highly-capable design might help motivate some of you into exploring Arduino controllers. Otherwise, it's filled with interesting stuff.

The manual has new updates, including a multiplexer IC table, and battery-power consumption details.
