. The EOL device I use is listed all over Aliexpress, but I haven't bought any. For one, they are more money than the prices I can get in the US. T hen of course there is the issue of counterfeit chips.

ng or an immediate need to use them? Right, happens every day.

a mistake was made and the old inventory was used before any of this order so it took more than 60 days to get around to using these parts?

Huh? When inventory is low, production will ask purchasing to order some more. I only test things that are completed.. and only some of them.. for simpler stuff production does the testing and only come to me if there is some problem.

unless the need was dire and immediate. I didn't order the parts! I only learned they were ordered from a shady su pplier when the instrument failed in testing... You are often a pain to talk with.

Uh, really? Your company buys from any Joe Blow who has a web site??? Tha t explains a lot!

I would have expected using such a supplier would have attracted more atten tion and some significant incoming inspection, at least for the first order .

supplier when the instrument failed in testing...

Sorry, but I can't know what you don't tell me. My use of the "you" was me ant to be "your company". Sounds like your company has some significant co mmunication issues. Sorry it's that way.
