low profile to regular profile

I bought a low profile PCI card. Is there any way to make it fit to standard profile?

It has to do with the card bracket that inserts and screws into the back of the PC tower. Low profile has a shorter bracket than regular profile.

Buy a bracket that fits both the VGA socket position and is full height....

I've done it two ways.

1: start with a standard bracket and drill/file holes for the I/O. Solder on some metal to screw the card to. 2:Bend the top angle straight. Cut off a standard bracket and fuse it to the short bracket. Spot welding works. Soldering works. Nutz and bolts work. Epoxy probably works, tho I've never tried it.

replace the metal slot cover part. usually they sell them new with both sizes of slot cover.

If you got yours used you've got a metalwork task.

if you're not woried about build quality bend the agled part straight and it should fit into the case, you can join an extension on with rivets etc.
