but in smaller pitch (ideally 0.1").
The one above has a 5mm pitch which don't give any advantage, (contacts number/length ratio), and much worse WRT PCB area, compared to the single level 0.1" pitch one.
Anyone?

Scratch that. Looks like only available in 5/5.08mm pitch.

I like the mechanics in the 0.1" single layer Phoenix terminal blocks. (But I don't know of a two layer one.. sorry.) Could you stick two single layer ones top and bottom on the pcb?
