liar, liar, pants on fire

ROMNEY: "I will roll back President Obama's deep and arbitrary cuts to our national defense that would devastate our military."

THE FACTS: "Arbitrary" defense cuts do not belong to Obama alone but also to congressional Republicans, including his vice presidential running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan.

ROMNEY: "The president has not signed one new free trade agreement in the past four years. "

THE FACTS: Obama hasn't opened new trade negotiations, but he's completed some big ones, overcoming opposition from fellow Democrats to do so.

ROMNEY: "I will recommit America to the goal of a democratic, prosperous Palestinian state living side by side in peace and security with the Jewish state of Israel. On this vital issue, the president has failed, and what should be a negotiation process has devolved into a series of heated disputes at the United Nations. In this old conflict, as in every challenge we face in the Middle East, only a new president will bring the chance to begin anew."

THE FACTS: With this statement, Romney has moved toward the balance enshrined in U.S. policy from one administration to another on the question of Israelis and Palestinians and away from his provocative remarks to a May fundraiser that recently came to light.

ROMNEY: "As the dust settles, as the murdered (in the Libya consulate attack) are buried, Americans are asking how this happened, how the threats we face have grown so much worse, and what this calls on America to do."

THE FACTS: It's unclear whether terrorism has gotten worse. There has been no incident even remotely comparable in scope or symbolic meaning to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Thank you Dubya

The great thing about "etch-a-sketch" Romney is that in the end it is gonna PO the left more than the right - BWAHAHAHA.

Romney's pandering in Virginia is an embarrassment. Worse yet, he cut this amazingly smelly fart at this elementary school visit.

Seriously Willard, we don't need to get involved in any more Middle Eastern wars.

Between your "etch-a-sketch" and miso's "Willard", is there a desperate attempt by the hard left to dehumanize Romney via a derogatory nickname or is it just to counter the whole teleprompter thing Obama got stuck with?

You must be referring to his so-called foreign policy speech at VMI in Lexi ngton, Va. In typical Romney fashion, he tells the audience what he thinks they want to hear. Of course Virginia, which receives approximately $60B de fense spending annually, wants to hear things like eliminating sequestratio n, building a bigger military, and projecting America's power militarily. E very single one of his statements have been exposed as either wrong, inaccu rate, or ludicrous by the experts in the respective subject matter. The Nav y, for example, doesn't need or want 15 new ships every year, and the peopl e who know the industry agree that the US doesn't have anywhere near the in dustrial infrastructure to produce modern warships at that rate.

Maybe you need to know who you're making your slanted comments to. Romney's not my "boy"; I'm not beholden to any stinking political party. I agree with George Carlin; they're all liars.

Scare words and phrases in just the first paragraph:

"alarming", "dark history", "scandals", "genetically modified (GM) seed", "chemical colossus to genetic giant", "environmental controversies".

Yup, no political slant at all.

BTW you failed to address my actual question about dehumanizing Romney. Maybe you just don't have a problem with that political tactic.

Also, your newsreader inserts unneeded spaces in quoted material.

Haven't you noticed that since his nomination Romney has abandoned his extreme right policy positions, and is now trying to redraw himself as a moderate? What I find amusing is that Republicans are now supporting somebody whose ostensible platform is in fact little different from that dangerous radical socialist Muslim Obama's. The most significant difference that I can see is his appearance.

I still can't swallow the idea that a person in a leadership position in a loonie cult can become president. These are strange times.

Since the Tea Party took it over, the Republican Party really has become a loonie cult. Or were you thinking of the Mormons?

Good Lord, you're clueless. Romney has never been far to the right and is, in fact, further right now than he's ever been.

You mean like the Catholic elected in '60? You leftists really are bigots.
