ala Bob Pease, I appointed myself Capacitor Czar at my company. (I should probably just be a Duke or Earl, but who listens to an Earl? )

Don't remember doing that when I was a staff engineer. One task from that j ob was working out what a display had to do to represent all the latin alph abet characters likely to be used in Europe - including diacritical marks - and another was talking with Donald Davies and Wyn Price (of the UK Nation al Physical Laboratory) about fitting public key encryption into the Telete x communicating word processor protocol (which wasn't difficult).

In practice, it was whatever the engineering manager and the managing direc tor wanted looked at when there wasn't an engineer who already knew a lot a bout it.

Management is more like herding cats. If krw were a typical employee - polecats.

That isn't the problem. I live there and I know the language.

The point is that the information isn't the same and I believe the web should be country-agnostic. I tried editing the link, but the site redirects me *again*. Never mind. It was no more than idle curiosity, anyway.
